We know there are many of you who want to do the most adventurous trekking to Everest Base Camp while you are in Nepal but have time limitation.
Everest base camp Heli trek is specially designed for the travelers who want to make most out of their time, money and energy and for those who loves to take the challenge as well as enjoy the luxury. This trip will allow trekkers to experience the trekking to Everest base camp and also bird’s eye view of the highest mountains of the world as well as some of the famous destination of Everest region during the Heli trek. Heli trek back to Kathmandu from EBC will not just save time but also help you escape from the tiring trek back along the same trail.
Day 01: Arrive At Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu
You may arrive at the airport at any time. One of Yeti’s representatives will be there to welcome you and help you get transferred to your hotel. You will also be given more information about plans and programs further. As you do not have any other planned activities for the day, you may just relax at the hotel for the remainder of time. Day 02: Fly To Lukla And Trek To Phakding (2652m/8699ft), Duration: 3 Hours
An early morning flight to the airport for the Lukla flight will be taken today. The short flight to Lukla is an amazing journey and presents drastic sceneries of mountains and emerald hills. The airfield at Lukla is located at a high elevation and the difference between the two ends of the runway is an exceptional 60 meters only. After landing at Lukla, you would be trekking to Phakding on a trail that is adorned with green forests and verdant woodlands. The view of the holy Kusum Kangraru Mountain also comes into sights while on the trail. With alpine vegetations lining the trails, you would be arriving at Phakding. Day 03: Trek To Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft), Duration: 6 Hours
Following the ebullient flow of the Dudh Koshi River, you will be ascending through Himalayan pine and cedar trees to the hub of the Khumbu region- the village of Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a historic trading point where Nepali and Tibetan traders exchanged salt, dried meat and textiles in ancient times. Besides being a splendid destination to shop for traditional crafts, Namche remains the central trading post in the Khumbu region that attracts Himalayan and lowland merchants. You would be spending two nights at Namche for acclimatization, visiting local markets and spending time with your team. Overnight stay at the guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 04: Namche Bazaar And Everest View Hotel
This day is especially sectioned for acclimatization. You will be hiking to the Syangboche Airport today (3700m). It is one of the highest located airports in the world. Continuing to climb up to the Everest View Hotel, you would be presented with views of ivory peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Tawache Himal and much more. On the way back, you could visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery as well. Overnight stay at the guesthouse, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 05: Trek To Tengboche (3860m/12660ft), Duration: 5 Hours
A fairly uniform and an easy trail leads to magnificent views of Mount Everest as you descend further deep into the Dudh Koshi Valley at Phungki Thanka. From this point, it ascends to the right flank of the Valley of Dudh Koshi towards the Tengboche Monastery lying at the elevation of 3,860 meters. A spiritual hub of the Khumbu region, the Tengboche Monastery is a perfect destination that enhances the trekking journey. You can also see the view of Ama Dablam Himal from Tengboche and Mount Everest on a clear day. Many surrounding peaks also emerge and the sights are absolutely gorgeous! Day 06: Trek To Dingboche (4410m/14464ft), Duration: 5 Hours
Today, you will be descending through a beautiful forest of rhododendrons and pine and would be crossing the Imja Khola to reach the village of Pangboche (3099m). While on the trail, you can enjoy views of mountain peaks like the Ama Dablam and Mount Lhotse. The trail leads through verdant pastures to Dingboche. The Sherpa village of Dingboche is also called the “Summer Valley” and lies in the Chhukung Valley. Situated at an altitude of 4,410 meters, Dingboche has a kilometer of stone wall built using different sizes that covers the entire valley of Imja. These stones are removed in order to plow the soil and end up being piled one over the other, creating kilometers of walls. Day 07: Dingboche To Nagerjun (5100m/1672ft) And Return, Duration: 6 Hours
This is another acclimatization day that you will be spending at Dingboche where you will get used to the high elevation. You will also be hiking to Nagerjun today (5100m). It is a hill station situated above the village of Dingboche on the edges of the Chhukung Valley. While walking on the way, the trail becomes steep on occasions, which makes the walk a bit of a challenge. From Nagerjun, you can witness the fine views of Lobuche East (6119m), Mount Thamserku (6608m), the Kangtega Peak (6685m), the Lobuche West (6145m), the Toboche Peak (6367m), the Ama Dablam (6856m) and many more. You can also witness the world’s fifth highest mountain- the Makalu Peak, on a clear day. You will then be walking back to Dingboche. Day 08: Trek To Lobuche (4910m/16105ft), Duration: 5 Hours
Moving ahead from Dingboche, today you will be walking approximately for 5 hours to reach Lobuche. On the way, you will be strolling along a wide valley floor before reaching Dhungla. You will also be passing the Trekkers Aid Post situated at Pheriche (4240m) where western volunteer doctors offer treatment to trekkers. You will carry on walking to the valley, passing along yak pastures before reaching Lobuche. Overnight stay at the guesthouse, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 09: Trek To The EBC (5364m/1759ft) And Back To Gorekshep (5181m/16994ft), Duration: 8 Hours
This is the 9th day of the trek, and is an important one. You will experience a short way up through meadows, and then walk down at the Khumbu glacier. Also, you can notice the best vantage point Kalapatthar from where stunning views of the entire southern face of Mount Everest as well as many of its surrounding peaks can be seen. You will get to Gorekshep, walk for some hours on the beautiful trail from Lobuche and make your way to the Everest Base Camp. Walking on rising and falling paths, you will be reaching the base camp where you can witness splendid views of the Khumbu Icefall. The views from the Everest Base Camp are sure to enthrall you. Overnight stay at the guesthouse at Gorekshep, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 10: Hike To Kalapatthar (5545m/18188ft) – Gorekshep – Kathmandu By Helicopter
This is another important and significant day for the trek. You will begin early in the morning to witness stunning views of the sunrise amidst the mountain peaks from Kalapatthar. It is the best viewpoint for observing Mount Everest as well as many other magnificent Himalayan ranges. After that, you will be walking back to Gorekshep. Finishing your breakfast, you will experience a comfortable helicopter ride back to Kathmandu. While on the ride, you can experience idyllic aerial views of the stunning landscapes as well as gigantic Himalayan ranges. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu, Breakfast included.
Day 11: Farewell
Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, one of Yeti’s representatives will drop you off at the airport from where you will depart.
